DIRTY LITTLE RABBITS - Simon

"Simon", the 6-song EP from the highly energetic Dirty Little Rabbits (Johnston, Iowa) will be released January 20th. Dark, energetic , twisted atmospheric rock with heavy progressive flourishes and colorful art sensibility. In addition to M. Shawn 'Clown' Crahan of Slipknot fame behind the kit, the alternative rock band features the graceful vocals of singer Stella Katsoudas (Sister Soleil) and the eerie organ work of keyboardist Michael Pfaff. “This is something I’ve been waiting to do my entire life” -M. Shawn Crahan

Dirty Little Rabbits is the brainchild of Shawn (Clown) Crahan, one of the founding memembers of alt/metal meisters Slipknot and also features Stella K (vocals), mid-90 s starlet from Stella Soleil. Together with Michael Pfaff, Ryan Martin and Jeff karnowski they are Dirty Little Rabbits. It usually takes artists a lifetime to find all the pieces to their artistic puzzle but not DLR. With the Simon EP released in 2008, the group s self-titled full-length debut is now upon us. Written by Shawn and Stella and produced by Shawn, their debut full-length is truly a piece that is near and dear to the band s heart. Seven years in the making, the group has finally put aside all their other projects to focus on DLR and the initial steps have been tremendous. Various US and European tours with the likes of Lacuna Coil, Stone Sour, MSI and Shawn s Slipknot fan appeal as Clown and Stella s radio history immediately draw the curious and the hardcore to this rock-ready, radio-friendly collection! It often takes a good portion of a band s career to learn to to trust themselves and make the music they want. But this collection of talent known as Dirty Little Rabbits seems to have done it in a faction of the time. With a ton of touring already under their belts, the band is a tight knit collective just waiting for bust out during performances. Add 14 high visibility performances during Warped 2010 and you ve got an unbelievable campaign in the making. That's it, really. Five people who make up a band called Dirty Little Rabbits; nothing more, nothing less. Just the willingness to create art from within a space that does not belong to you, only us. See you down the rabbit hole, perhaps?
