ULVER's 'Shadows of the Sun' limited pre-order package now available

A pre-order package for the upcoming ULVER album 'Shadows of the Sun' (out October 2nd on THE END RECORDS), is now available at THE END RECORDS' mailorder site THE OMEGA

This extremely limited package includes the new "Shadows of the Sun" CD, an extremely limited T-shirt design and a hand screenprinted poster. The poster is autographed by the artist and hand numbered out of 200. These are available now but will sell out quickly. Limit one per customer.

In other ULVER news, vocalist Kristoffer Rygg (aka Garm, Trickster G) and programmer/keyboardist Tore Ylwizaker will be attending, as well as DJ-ing, the CD release party for their upcoming album 'Shadows of the Sun' Thursday September 20th, 2007 at Europa Night Club in Brooklyn, New York.
 
Both members of ULVER will be DJ-ing throughout the night, as well live band support for the show will come from experimental rock act THE AUSTERITY PROGRAM (Hydrahead) and stoner rock/metal duo LAPDOG OF SATAN (members of PRIESTBIRD/TARANTULA AD)

ULVER Bio:
"Dark and tragic" might be fitting adjectives for Ulver's 14-year career, but "low-key" is definitely a more recent development. For even though it might be hard to believe it when you listen to the soft-spoken new album, Ulver were once a seminal black metal band. They even have the name (Ulver translates as "Wolves") and a trilogy of folklore-inspired metal to prove it.

But even in a scene that sent shockwaves around the world, Ulver were outsiders. While other black metallers were "slaves to the one with horns", Ulver were inspired by Thomas Kingo, a 17th century composer of psalms.
