The album, which was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side, contains ten tracks which are designed to be played straight through as one 44-minute slab of epic, dynamic metal. In celebration of the release of 'Sole Lord,' THE END RECORDS and HULL have teamed up with MetalSucks.net to bring the curious and the converted alike another taste of the record. Follow this link to download the album's third cut, "Immortal": http://www.metalsucks.net/2009/05/26/hull-immortal-exclusive-mp3-premier/ In an 8/10 review, Decibel said "'Sole Lord' poses a striking balance between atmospheric drone and metallic prog." "Hull’s three guitar attack achieves maximum sludgery, bashing your skull into the wall with a sledgehammer and smearing your brains across the floor," MetalSucks.net has said of the band and Metal Maniacs described them as having "all the crush of early Mastodon met with the ambient fire of Neurosis, but somehow [Hull] avoids sounding like either one of them." 'Sole Lord' features artwork by Josh Graham (Neurosis, A Storm of Light), which is viewable below, along with the album's tracklisting. HULL's album release show for 'Sole Lord' is tonight, May 26th at The Charleston in Brooklyn along with Witches Tit and Flaming Tusk. 5/26/09 @ The Charleston - Brooklyn, NY w/ Witches Tit, Flaming Tusk CD | TE135 | The End | 5/26/2009 'Sole Lord' Tracklisting: 01.
